New Years Eve

New Years Eve has always been one of my favorite holidays, mostly because it's my birthday! (I was a tax break...) This year is my first year living in a big city for new years as opposed to my (tiny) college town and I'm so excited to actually have plans! Usually my friends would do dangerous and probably illegal stuff with fireworks while the girls sat a safe distance away calling them morons (they are).

This year though, I get to get all dressed up and hit the town! I definitely wanted to find the quintessential NYE dress, and I totally love the gold shimmer of this Lulu's dress and the long sleeves mean I can stay warmer especially paired with thick tights and booties. No new years look is complete without sequins, which is why my sequin Express bag worked perfectly!

I hope everyone had a great 2014 and has an even better 2015! :)

What are your New Year's plans?

A Very Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve Pajamas

Every year after church and dinner on Christmas Eve, my little brother and I have always been allowed to open one present, every year it's always Christmas pajamas that we sleep in so we have a cute (and often matching) outfit for pictures while opening presents the next day. It's kind of our little family tradition.

Through the years it's become kind of expected and so now I'll always let mom know which PJ's I've been eyeing ;). Check out some of my favorites for Christmas Eve this year.

What are your Christmas Eve traditions?

Stocking Stuffers

Every year at Christmas, I think my stocking is my favorite thing to go through. Like, it's literally a giant sock filled with adorable things. I've had the same (monogrammed) stocking since I was 8, and my mom always does a great job arranging it. I'm not sure what it is about cute little trinkets, but they're always so much more fun to open than the big gifts.

Anyways, I've come up with my own list of cute & colorful stocking stuffers that would be perfect in a stylish girl's stocking (like mine!). These would also make great last minute gifts if you're still working on your Christmas list (I am…13 year old boys are picky).

What do you hope to find in your stocking this year?

6 Products to Combat Winter Dryness

I don't know about you guys, but every winter my skin gets super dry. I already have dryer skin, but the cold air makes it a million times worse. Ugh.

3 Holiday-Ready Party Outfits

Holiday Party season is officially in full swing, with only two weeks left before Christmas (what!?), I'm going to my first ever office party on Saturday. I'm still deciding on my outfit because I want to be dressed up but not too dressed up you know?

I figured if I'm struggling with this (#firstworldproblems), I'm sure some of you guys are too. Which is why I've been putting together fabulous holiday-ready party outfits (also because I wish I could wear some Louboutin's with a Kate Spade holiday dress…).

OUTFIT 1: Dress || Shoes || Bracelet || Bag || Earrings
I've kind of been obsessed with anything tartan this holiday season (and every other one), but why limit it to just shoes and accessories. A great alternative to the red holiday dress would be one in a cozy print.

OUTFIT 2: Dress || Coat || Shoes || Necklace || Earrings || Bag
Ever since I saw this Kate Spade dress I fell in love with it. I would totally splurge and get it, if I had an inkling of somewhere to wear it to. How glamorous would this be with a big statement necklace and sparkles and a furry leopard print coat? In. Love.

OUTFIT 3: Dress || Necklace || Shoes || Clutch || Earrings
I love the blue dress, it feels very classy yet understated. I could totally see a great holiday/winter party outfit with some shiny silver heels and glitzy silver and sapphire statement pieces.

What are your holiday party plans this year? Any tips on what I should wear?

Have you done your holiday shopping yet? I'm definitely behind this year, although at least I'm not scrambling to think of the perfect something…I've planned ahead. (TIP: demand Christmas lists girls, especially from boys - they're way too hard to shop for…it totally isn't fair).

In case your need a few ideas, I've been scouring the internet -- no need to thank me ;), for adorable gifts to give or receive (or to just get for yourself):

And as a gift to you, some Dallas bloggers and I have put together a little holiday give-a-way! Enter below for the chance to win a $200 Amazon gift card just in time for Christmas!

Happy Holidays! :)

Winter Shoe Wishlist

Considering the weather the past few days (and my impending heating bill), I think it's safe to say that winter is officially upon us. I'm pretty sure my only rule in picking out shoes in the winter is the question of if it would look too ridiculous to wear socks with…which basically limits my choices to boots, and booties unless I really want to class it up and go for some tights and heels (if I decide I must leave my apartment).

That being said I'm pretty sure loafers are like accessories (and heels), and you can never have too many. I love how they keep adding different prints and styles each season. Seriously I could have like 50 pairs of (J.Crew "Addie") loafers, but my bank account keeps telling me "no".  But that doesn't mean a girl can't dream, what's on your winter shoe wish list?

FYI - if any of you want to get your favorite blogger a Christmas present I wear a size 8. ;)

Holiday Party Season

Ya'll I'm so excited that it's officially party season! And can we talk about this dress for a minute? The online boutique eShakti let me pick out an item to style and share with you guys, and if you click on the link to the dress I'm wearing, you'll see it's sleeveless: that's because eShakti lets you customize your clothes on their site! How cool is that? When I saw this bold red dress, I knew it would be the perfect with long sleeves for a festive holiday look.
