Fall Makeup Favorites

One of my favorite things about the changing seasons is all the new makeup trends that come out in fall. I feel like after the summer months when I'm usually wearing hardly anything because of the heat, I'm ready to play and experiment with all the new warm shade coming out for the new season. Check out some of my favorites!

Altuzarra for Target

I feel like I wouldn't be a very good fashion blogger if I didn't talk about the new Altuzarra for Target collection. I think it may be my favorite Target collaboration (maybe tied with the Marc Jacobs collab?). I love the simple and sleek looks and neutral color palette. And those booties!!! 😍 I need them!

Do you ever just throw on an outfit and realize that you really really like it? It's like the style stars align and every old thing you've had forever just suddenly works. You know? Well that's what happened with me today, which was just supposed to be a day of running errands and doing laundry but I ended up thinking all day "Would it be weird if I wore this to work tomorrow?" So of course, I had to have an impromptu photo shoot with me n' my tripod. #awkward

TONI&GUY Fashion Show

This past weekend I got the awesome opportunity to attend a TONI&GUY event, if you're not familiar with the salon and academy (I wasn't) they're responsible for the TIGI products (which I love by the way, and I have a TIGI curling iron that has seriously lasted me for like six years, anyways...)

They had a fashion show featuring different hair product lines with the hair done by the students of the academy. Can I just say that the hair is fabulous and I want these girls doing my hair (I'd like the Effie Trinket look please?). I loved watching the fantastical hair and makeup and outfits that the students came up with.

Afterwards I got a chance to meet the CEO of the company (!!!) and chat about the goals and vision for the new academy. Basically they want to give back to the community by creating school to teach the art of hairdressing to a new generation. How cool is that?

What's your favorite look from the show?

Shift into Fall

One of my favorite trends this season is the mod/shift dresses trend. Maybe it's my profession (architecture), but I love structured dresses over flow-y and frilly ones. And I feel like structured shift dresses inspired by the 60's are perfect for fall, especially with leather accents, embellishments and cute collars. I definitely could see myself wearing them out with friends or even to work. Paired with booties, tights, and a Jackie-O inspired peacoat (like this one perhaps?), and voila! Perfect fall outfit!

Are you on board for the mod trend this season?

White Out

Apparently TONI&GUY didn't get the memo that it's after Labor Day, but then why would such a groundbreaking brand need to follow the rules? I had so much fun at the TONI&GUY Academy Grand Opening Party that I will need two posts to cover the whole thing, but I thought I'd begin with my outfit. I chose a structured Topshop dress with black booties and silver accessories. Adding edgy shoes and accessories to a white dress is a great way to transition your summer dresses into fall.

I also got to try out Drybar for the first time, and let me tell you I wish I could have them do my hair everyday before work! It felt so silky and smooth all day and the sleek and smooth style was a great complement to my outfit for the night, so thanks for the suggestion!

Girls Night Out

My ideal weekend usually consists of pajamas, blogging, and Netflix watching with Pepper curled up beside me, however when it's my best friends 22nd birthday...I had to make an exception. It was actually fun getting all dolled up and staying out past 11...ya'll I actually have so few "going out" clothes that I had to run an pick up a cheap pair of jeans from Forever 21 that looked dressy enough (that I actually kind of like, score!).

And speaking of budget fashion, I have seriously been wearing these Target booties everywhere. Target has some awesome shoes this season!

A Big Girl Wallet

You know those Vera Bradley coin purses that double as key fobs that are super convenient in college because you can grab it and go and it holds all your cards for food and stuff? Yeah I still have that...

This weekend was a big step for me, I finally got a big-girl work purse (instead of my little cross-body bags that I love). It's going to be weird carrying a huge tote around but I definitely feel like a real adult now. However, I realized while browsing through the Kate Spade store that I will be needing a big-girl wallet to accompany it! Oh the choices...

One || Two || Three || Four || Five || Six

I love the solid black GiGi New York wallet because it's so classic, however I also love the fall hue of the first Kate Spade one and the houndstooth, leopard, and fall colored florals. Decisions are not my forte...which is why I have to ask:

Which one is your favorite?
