Happy Thanksgiving!

Be sure to pin the image and keep checking back for sales updates! :)

Ya'll, I'm so excited about Black Friday. As much as I love sitting down and giving thanks, I do enjoy staying out all night kicking off the Christmas shopping season! I know some people hate it, but I think you have to have a certain mindset that you're not going in looking for a specific thing (or fighting over it). That being said, I've been scouring the internet for my favorite stores deals and making my wish list!  Be sure to keep checking my list, because I'll keep updating it through Thanksgiving!

A Little Leather

I have TWO things in this outfit post that I want to brag about a little…only because they're been on my "wish list" for quite a while now. My leather jacket and my Altuzarra for Target booties (which are on sale right now!!).

I found my leather jacket at Express a few weeks ago on sale. I've been wanting one because they're a great way to dress up an outfit, and they're a great way to add a little edge to a night out outfit -- especially when most of the jackets and coats I own are either VERY dressy or very casual.

As for the booties, those are a story. So I bought a pair…wore them out and the heel completely broke off within probably the first hour. UGH. I made my boyfriend take me home so that was the end of that night. They were super great at Target for letting me exchange them (I'd been wanting them for so long, they were getting a second shot!), which I was kind of surprised for some reason. Anyways, I've worn these a ton with no problem so it must've been a fluke.

How would you wear a leather jacket?

Color Crush: Burgundy

Burgundy has been one of my favorite color trends this fall. The deep red is such a perfect hue for the colder months and it to ally goes well with everything. Check out my favorite burgundy picks you need this season! :)

I've been dying for something buffalo check. I could totally see myself wearing it with a pair of black riding boots and maybe a black fur vest? I also love the Kate Spade gloves. They're so bold and cute, I have a pair of leather black ones, but I would love to start a collection of great gloves going (not that I wear them a lot in Dallas, TX). I've also been looking for a tweet jacket. I love this J.Crew Factory one for an affordable option. It would be easy to dress up or down, for work and a night out. How great would it look with a awesome black sequin top and some killer heels?

What color can you not get enough of this season?

Sweater Weather

It was finally cold enough to layer up this week so I took advantage and wore all the winter and fall clothes that I've been dying to pull out! I love the look of layering in the fall/winter and for the first month or so it's really fun (until it gets tiring). My J.Crew feild jacket was definitely a worthwhile purchase. It's such a great jacket to throw on when a peacoat is just too heavy or when dressing down is appropriate. Like running some weekend errands.

Have a great Sunday! And stay warm! (P.S. it might snow here tonight...fingers crossed!)

Winter Wishlist

I'm loving the cozy and luxurious (hello fur?) styles this season. Especially all the rich and glamorous colors. (I seriously cannot get enough of maroon and gold this year.) This winter I'm definitely focusing on bringing a little more glitz to my closet!

This season I'm totally head over heels for fur and metallics (who isn't?). I love how glamorous yet classic they look, especially with more toned down silhouettes like those metallic loafers. This season, I definitely think it's about adding a few glitz-y statement pieces to your wardrobe to make even a casual look a little more glamorous.

Fashion X Dallas Recap

This past weekend I got the amazing opportunity to go to the 3 day long fashion show held right here in Dallas. Unfortunately...I only got to go to the first day due to catching whatever it was my boyfriend has been sick with this week (side-note: a red nose is NOT in this season).

Regardless, I'm still thrilled to bring out some snapshots of the latest and greatest fashions coming out of the Lone Star State: peruse on, perusers!

The gowns were my favorite (can you tell?), I loved how intricate each design was...and while I have absolutely no where I would wear them, I definitely wanted each and every one.

I also loved the menswear....but that was for a completely different reason ;) (Aren't well dressed guys the best? 😍)

3 Ways to Style a Fur Vest

I'm definitely a fan of the "buy less, choose well" mentality...especially after going through a Forever 21 phase at the end of high school and basically not being able to wear anything after about 3 washes. I'm also not a huge trend follower anymore for the same reason. That being said, there's sometimes when fast fashion really comes in handy. Like the fact that I've been LOVING the fur trend (and these booties!)

I can't see myself reaching for a fur vest every day while getting ready, but I love the H&M version for this winter when I want to make an outfit pop! Read on for three ways to style this fabulous find:

Casual: Vest || Shirt || Booties || Jeans || Bag || Necklace
Modern: Vest || Top || Bag || Skirt || Heels
Party: Vest || Dress (Similar) || Heels || Clutch

Are you going to jump on the fur trend this season?

Fall Coat Favorites

It FINALLY got a little chilly in Dallas (#sweaterweather) and now I can't wait to find my coat for winter! I may be getting a little ahead of myself...it is ONLY November after all, but I'm super excited for winter this year especially because of the holidays.

One || Two || Three || Four || Five

I definitely feel like since I've started working my taste in clothing is changing. I really want to find a sleek neutral coat this winter that I can wear with my work slacks  and outfits...

That being said, I picked up the leather jacket above this weekend and I love it! It's the perfect "going out" coat and it looks so cool! ;)

Which one would you choose?
