Merry Christmas ya'll! I seriously cannot believe it's already Christmas Eve, and tomorrow's the big day! This holiday season seems like it's flown past! Tonight my family is doing our traditional Christmas Eve, which involves Christmas Eve service at church, plus dinner at a nice restaurant (mom doesn't want to have to cook), and then opening a present...which is ALWAYS pajamas to wear on Christmas Day!
Merry (almost) Christmas everyone! I cannot believe it's the week of already! With all the festivities this season, I thought it was about time for another Instagram round-up for the holidays! If you're not already - be sure to follow me on Instagram!
I love my little gold tree that I inherited along with the bright and colorful vintage ornaments. Isn't it the perfect size for a small city apartment?
This year we began the holiday season on Black Friday in Nachitoches, LA to look at all the Christmas lights. I love the small town feel!
There's nothing like the big tree at the galleria!
This year it's been a warm and sunny December. I wish I was getting a white Christmas like this beautiful snow last year!
Have you gotten all your presents wrapped? I've still got a few last minute ones. Side note: Target has the best wrapping paper!
Just one more party weekend until Christmas! And I'm back with another holiday party outfit! (Ya'll these are so fun!) This one is definitely my favorite, I love LOVE this dress! The back and neckline is the perfect amount of bold and modest - perfect for any holiday occasion! I feel like navy and silver is a great color for the holidays and looks super rich and luxurious with the deep hues and sparkle. I love how the navy, shimmery fabric of the dress is such an understated statement piece in and of itself, this definitely will be a go to outfit for many more Christmas seasons to come!
I got my last present wrapped and under the tree last night, which means...for once I'm DONE with Christmas shopping early! On Christmas morning, my favorite thing to go through is my stocking, I don't know what it is about fun little goodies, but I love them! In case you need some last minute gifts for friends or some stocking inspiration, I've made a list of some of my favorite stocking stuffers for under $25!

Happy Friday everyone! I meant to post this outfit yesterday, but Wednesday night I came home and COMPLETELY crashed, oops. But that's ok, what better way to start the weekend than with a fun and sparkly party look!? I am in love with this skirt, for under $20!! It's the perfect way to spice up holiday party outfits, I love pairing it with a sweater to tone it down a little but still be modest and party ready (my office party is coming up).
This year, I'm obsessed with all the oversize sweaters and blanket scarves in stores, so I definitely had to pick some up on Black Friday. This super casual and comfy outfit is perfect for a day spend wondering around shops and checking things off my Christmas shopping list.
Happy Sunday! With the holiday season in full swing (yay!), it means that party season is also upon us! I love holiday parties because it's an excuse to really be create with your outfit! It's definitely more acceptable to show up to a December party dressed to the nines with baubles, fur and embellishments…how fun! To help you out this season, I've made my list of my favorite shimmery and shiny dresses for all your holiday occasions! A few are even under $100!
What are your favorites?

It also means that there are tons of holiday parties to be had which is a great excuse to go all out in some fun and festive looks!
What better way to add a little pizzaz to your holiday look than with some sparkles! This season there's so many fun sparkly pieces that I had to round up my favorites!
Ballet Flats || Watch || Earrings || Bangles || Nail Polish || Embellished Sweatshirt || Clutch || Bow Cosmetics Case || Oxfords || Dress

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! As I get older I'm starting to like Thanksgiving more and more, it seems like the *official* kick off to the holiday season. This year I'm back in my hometown with my mom and little brother and some out of town family that's coming in. Last year I got a little more dressed up for Turkey Day but it's a small and casual affair this year, so I wanted my outfit to reflect that.
Happy Friday everyone (it's Friday for me because it's the last day of work until Thanksgiving vacation!). I'm so excited to be gong home for the holiday, and this will be the longest break I'll have had since college…so it'll definitely be nice to get a few days to spend with family and relax. While this year I'm not making a long trek home (just a 3 hour car ride), there's something fun about packing up and building anticipation for a holiday with family.
Tote || Portable Charger || Blanket Scarf || Makeup Bag || Thermal Mug || Sunglasses || Watch || Carry On || Weekender
I've been needing a new weekender for long weekends home and small trips here and there (ya'll, the amount of weddings you have to go to after college is insane). I've been in LOVE with this Kate Spade weekender bag. It's on my Christmas list so…fingers crossed!
Are you traveling anywhere for Thanksgiving?
There's nothing cozier than a decorated home for the holidays, and even though it's only November…I've already begin pulling out my Christmas decor out of bins in my apartment.
"Fa La La" Ornament || Candle || Cocktail Shaker || Moscow Mule Mugs || Pom Pom Throw || Glitter Coasters || Macaroon Ornament Set || Wine Tote || Placemats || Gold Reindeer Pillow || Bar Cart
I cannot believe Thanksgiving is already only a week away! This will be the first time in a while I'll get to go home and I'm so excited. Living a few hours from family definitely makes the holidays more special.
It's always fun to set a festive table and have all the family sit down together on Thanksgiving, and then of course go out for a night of shopping! Whether you're staying at home or visiting family this Thanksgiving, here's some of my favorite fall pieces that are perfect for chowing down on some turkey:
I always think it's fun to get a little more dressed up than usual even if I'm just staying home. Also my family always insists on way too many photos so I have to look presentable for those. A casual fall dress with tights and booties is perfect for a more elegant affair. For a cozy family get together, the poncho trend is great! Pair with some soft leggings, a pair of OTK boots and a big slouchy tote for a night on the town after dinner for Black Friday!
Booties || Earrings || Travel Mug || Sweater || Scarf || Leopard Clutch || Dress Coat || Gloves || Socks || Puffer Vest || Skirt || OTK Boots
Hello All! It's finally starting to cool down here in Texas and I'm so excited to start wearing all the cozy sweaters and boots I've been collecting over the past few months! I love the start of the holiday season, if not, for all the wonderful SALES going on right now! I've definitely been making my list and checking it twice (namely….removing things from my shopping bag).
The holidays are my favorite time of year, everything is so cozy and shiny and I love how this season that translates to all the fun clothes out there! My definite must haves this season are fun patterns like buffalo check and leopard print, bold statement pieces like over the knee boots, and of course something sparkly and sequin!
What are your favorites this season?
Happy September! The first official month of fall is here! Which means I'm gearing up for pumpkin spice, flannels, riding boots, and cozy sweaters! There's starting to be a slight crispness in the morning and I absolutely cannot wait until full fledged fall! Until then, I'm definitely getting the last use out of my summer wardrobe and starting to break out the fall prints, colors, and fabrics.,,like this adorable quilted skort from Golden Closet Boutique. It's absolutely perfect for this time of year in Dallas and it will go great later on in the fall with a cute pair of leggings and some booties!
This year I've really been loving hot pink, which is a little out of the ordinary for me because I'm not that much of a pink person. Hot pink is such a fun and bright color that really makes a statement, and lately I haven't been able to get enough, so when I found this dress on sale for $30 I knew I had to have it!
Am I the only one that can't wait for sweater weather? I'm seriously so excited for fall and I have only just started my fall wardrobe shopping! Unfortunately in Texas fall weather probably wont come for another two months, it's definitely been in the 3 digits lately...which is no time for sweaters and riding boots. I definitely want to be shopping all the new collections that are coming out without having to wait to wear them, which is why I love the idea of transition pieces to help get through both seasons. Which is especially useful for a state that only has 4 months of cold!
Top || Flats || Shorts || Earrings || Bag || Scarf || Stripe Crop Top || Tassel Necklace || Lipstick || Booties || Heels || Bracelet
I do love a good summertime soiree, I feel like during the spring and summer I can have so much more fun with cocktail attire even though fall and winter tend to be event season (luckily all my friends seem to have decided to get engaged all at once...#weird.) I love this Joyluxe mint lacy dress. It's super comfortable for a hot summer afternoon and is the perfect color for a summer evening with friends (and under $50!).
You guys, I'm seriously so excited about this giveaway! I cannot believe I've been able to not say anything for this long, but I, with some other bloggers will be sending one lucky reader to NEW YORK CITY FOR FASHION WEEK!!
Every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future. This is known as Fashion Week." - Carrie Bradshaw, Sex & The City.
Now that it's officially August and the summer heat is in full gear, all I want to do is chill by (or in!) the pool all day and soak up as much summer sun as I can before September. I feel like between moving and finishing up projects at work, this summer has been super busy for me. Most weekends I've been too busy running errands and moving (ugh) to get to enjoy relaxing by the pool. I'm hoping this August I'll be able to relax and get a tan that will hopefully sustain me through winter ;). Check out some of my favorite poolside essentials for those lazy days sipping margaritas by the pool:
Flamingo Float || Sandals || Tassel Necklace || Sunscreen || iPhone Case || Swimsuit || Bracelet || Sunglasses || Beach Ball || Panama Hat || Beach Towel || Pineapple Tote
I'm always a big fan of Instagram roundups by bloggers and July has been such a busy month for me, and my Instagram that I thought I'd share what I've been up to! Also I feel like there were a lot of "days" in July, you know what I mean. It seemed like every day was #national_day which called for another 'Gram (P.S. National Tequila Day might have been my favorite!).
Watching fireworks on the terrace with co-workers was a great way to spend the Fourth of July. I even got a little crafty and baked these patriotic red velvet cupcakes. They were pretty yummy if I do say so myself! ;)
It's definitely getting hot here in Dallas, and by hot I mean "I don't want to move, I just want to lay under a fan all day" hot. Which is why when I do have to venture outside into the humid, sultry heat I want to be wearing the least amount of clothing possible…in the classiest way :). Thank the good Lord for the crop top trend this season, they're definitely a summertime necessity in the south. I've basically been living in crop tops and high waisted shorts on the weekends, and my favorite is this tied chambray one.
I can't believe that in just a few days I'll be moving out of my first big-girl apartment and into my second one! As much as I loved this apartment, I can't wait to see my new one and (yes,) decorate it! I'm so excited because for this one I already have all the major stuff (like a couch, table, bed, dresser) so this time around I get to shop for all the fun trinkets and decor. Check out some of my favorites that I've found.
P.S. A lot of these items are in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that's still going on!
Hello Pillow || Marble Tray || Ikat Hand Towel || Napkin Holder || Sunglasses Art || Alarm Clock || Gold Kiss Art || Sheepskin Rug || Green Pillow || Table Lamp || Ampersand Pillow || Bud Vase || Candle || Bow Print || Bar Cart
What do you wear on a summers girls night out with friends? This was a legitimate problem I was facing recently (#firstworldproblems) because it's just so freaking hot here. When walking around anywhere that isn't heavily air conditioned this time of year, pants are just not an option. Thankfully skorts are making a 90s comeback and I'm totally loving it.
I realize that summer is half way over (which is totally crazy by the way), but I've been loving all the cute wedges I've been seeing this season. Also, here in Dallas, I can totally wear them for a few more months since this heat will basically never end. Ugh.
What's a better way to beat the Texas summer heat than a rooftop pool party with your favorite bloggers and instagrammers complete with tex mex and cocktails? I'd say nothing. And that's exactly what I got to go to last week thanks to the Lofts at Mockingbird Station in Dallas. I've actually been too busy this summer to really enjoy the pool at my apartment, something I thought I would use a lot more than I have…so a planned out event by the pool was just what I needed to get me in the summer mood.
If you follow me on Instagram (which you totally should…nudge nudge wink wink), you'll know that I have a probably slightly unhealthy obsession with cats…in fact I currently have one purring in my lap doing everything she can to get me to look away from the screen and at her. It's working.
It's that time of year again! When it's way too hot to be thinking about anything that covers past your elbow but when all the fall fashions start coming out (just kidding). It's time for the annual NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE! As much as I would like to be blowing my paychecks on bikinis and Lilly shifts, this sale is the absolute best time to kick start your fall wardrobe with a few designer pieces on a budget.
What better way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon than having tea with friends? None! Which is apparently exactly what The Vintage House in Carrolton, TX thought when they hosted a blogger tea party for members of Dallas Blogger Collective. I normally don't share blog event photos other than on Instagram, but I thought the ones I got from this event were too cute not to share with you guys! I just loved the adorable pink dollhouse-eqse shop and the beautiful desserts they had set up for us!
It's apparently that awkward time in my life where I'm supposed to grow up but I still feel like a kid. Perfect example was last weekend. My former best friend from high school got married and I attended her wedding…it was super weird. A couple people I knew from high school and the early days of college were there with their husbands and I kept getting the question "So…I guess you'll be next…" as I was standing their with my date: my boyfriend of over four years. I guess it is odd that we've been together this long, both college grads, working in the same city and have yet to talk about getting engaged…but at 23, I still feel like I'm so far off from all that.
Anyways, if I learned anything last weekend it's that weddings are fun! Especially when it isn't family weddings your forced to stand through with your hair all done up as an 8 year old (I got in trouble for getting on my cousins trampoline in my flower girl dress with my hair done up…oops).
Regardless, picking out the perfect wedding guest outfit is definitely a new to me, but with the amount of my Facebook friends posting photos of themselves staring longingly into each others eyes with chalkboards with dates on them…I guess I'll have some shopping to do over the next few years! Here's some tips I learned to help you kick off your wedding season.
