10 Things You Need for Spring Break

As my first year in the workforce, I am super jealous of all my friends who are currently on spring break! I miss it so much. My old college roommate/ best friend and I used to have so much fun planning our spring break trips (P.S. West Palm Beach was totally the best one). Anyways, in a lesson in nostalgia and an effort to live vicariously through my readers who are still in that glorious thing we call college, here's my top 10 spring break essentials!

I love the transition into spring because I can start pulling out all my bright fun clothes that have been hiding all winter, and fun statement making jewelry is a fun way to add a bright punch of color into your fresh spring wardrobe.

For some reason every spring I always get obsessed with hats no matter the style. I can definitely picture myself in this floppy straw hat sitting by the pool in a bikini sipping cocktails and tanning...can I please have a vacation?

Light and airy breezy tops are definitely a spring and summer staple. I love collecting tunics in the warmer months. They're so easy to throw on over a pair of shorts for an easy and cute outfit, plus they totally double as adorable beach coverups!

Last year I wanted chino shorts in every color, I even invested bought a pair of lime green ones. This year, I'm into patterns. Printed shorts are definitely on my list of spring break essentials.

Metallic shoes were big last year, but I feel like they will be even bigger this year. Everyone should definitely have a pair of neutral sandals for spring in summer...heck I practically live in mine after 5 and on weekends, but the great thing about metallic is they go with EVERYTHING and totally dress up a casual outfit.

Ah, swimsuit shopping. Usually one my most disappointing spring endeavors. This year, however, I've actually been preparing so I may be (almost) looking forward to it...but more on that later. There's so many adorable swimsuits out this spring (like the new Kate Spade line!!!!) that it'll be super hard to choose! I love this striped J.Crew one, it's so classic yet fun!

Even thought the weather might not be in the 80s yet (except here in Texas...), it's always easy to get in the mood for spring with bright and cheery nails! This season I've been loving bright and opaque pastel colors and soft neutrals.

Picking out a seasonal beach bag for me, is almost as daunting as picking out a swimsuit (ok, not really). But it is definitely something I look for each spring. I love this Kate Spade one with the cocktails on it! How appropriate for spring break... amirite? ;)

Probably should've been higher on my list considering there's health benefits as well, but these wayfarers fit so well into the little spot in Adobe Illustrator :D. Sunglasses are a year round must have in my bag and at all times but especially when I'm near a glaring pool or outside a lot. I love these classic and cute Rayban Wayfarers.

Do you have any fun Spring Break plans this year?
