Party Pants

Happy December ya'll! The beginning of this month definitely means that the holiday season is in full swing and I'm so excited! I love the holidays…they don't call it "the most wonderful time of year" for nuthin'! It also means that there are tons of holiday parties to be had which is a great excuse to go all out in some fun and festive looks!

Coat (On Sale and Under $100!) || Leggings || Blouse (Similar) || Heels (Similar) || Clutch (Similar) || MAC Lipstick in "Russian Red"

As much as I love holiday dresses, these pants are so fun that I just had to use them in a Christmas-y ensemble this year! Some girlfriends and I are getting together soon for a white elephant and wine party and I thought a more fun and daring outfit than the slew of dresses this time of year would be perfect for the occasion, also what better way to celebrate the holidays than with sequins, bows, and fur?

I LOVE my new faux fur coat, which is on sale for UNDER $100 still, I've worn it out a couple times and it has seriously been super warm and cozy and perfect for a dressier night on the town…though I could do without random people asking me if they could pet it…

I feel like red lipstick is a holiday must for any party outfit in the month of December, which is why I'll keep my Russian Red MAC lipstick handy. I normally don't write too much about beauty on this blog, but red lipstick is always so hard to get right for some reason and I absolutely love this one! I was researching MAC red lipstick a while back because I really wanted to get a nice tube of it for special occasions, and apparently "Russian Red" and "Ruby Woo" are generally thought to be the two that look good on most people (correct me if I'm wrong MAC mavens!). When I tried them both on at the counter, I felt like "Ruby Woo" was a little brighter and HOLY CRAP was it dry! I could barely swipe it on my lips without "tugging" it along, if that makes sense. I already am super weird about keeping lip balm on my lips at all times so I didn't want something that felt really dry going on…so Russian Red it was! I love how the color is a bold red but a little bit darker and cooler for the holidays, and the consistency is perfect! (P.S. Sorry for the stream of consciousness novella about red lipstick!)
