Instagram Lately...

I've been a bad blogger this week! Sorry! I meant to get this post out yesterday, but after my run I completely crashed! Anyways, I thought it was about time for another Instagram update. I love reading through these types of posts and seeing all the pretty Instagram photos full size. Instagram is definitely my favorite social media outlet, and lately I've been trying to make better use of it and up my Insta game. Here's where I'll shamelessly plus my feed...you should definitely go follow me! :)

I LOVE my new Kate Spade planner I got for Christmas. It's always great to start the year out with pretty organization stuff.

Casual Cool

The weather here has been pretty nice lately, dare I say...almost spring-like. It's been great not having to bundle up just to walk outside, and I got to break out my leather jacket that's been in hiding since fall. I love how leather jackets are such a effortless piece that really makes an outfit look cool. This outfit is perfect for a day of errands, and throw on a pair of sleek black pumps and it instantly becomes a great night out outfit too!

Pantone 2016 Color(s) Of the Year Favorites

In case you hadn't heard, this years colors of the year are the two prettiest pastel shades of pink and blue...Rose Quartz and Serenity, I seriously have not been able to get enough! I always love seeing what the new color of the year is from Pantone, and it's so cool how in 2016 theres two! I can already tell these shades will (and are!) going to be trickling into my wardrobe piece by piece!

ONE || TWO || THREE || FOUR || FIVE || SIX || SEVEN || EIGHT

I love how well these colors go with each other and the rest of my wardrobe. They're so pale and soft that they can either be a statement piece or a neutral with other bold punches of color. And they totally work for all seasons. Soft pinks and blues are usually a staple of breezy clothes seen in the spring or summer, but the coolness of the colors makes them perfect for winter and fall too! I'm definitely going to have fun all year with these colors!

What's your favorite? Rose Quartz or Serenity?

Tips for Actually Sticking to Your New Years Resolutions

My New Years Resolution was to win the Powerball, unfortunately that one failed miserably. I've never played before but with all the talk about it I figured I'd pick up a ticket. Not one number right. Oh well!

In reality, my new years resolutions are probably a lot like yours: get back into my running routine, get more sleep, save money, and a couple blog related ones too. I know the new year resolution thing is kind of cliche, but the new year is a great time for a fresh start, and a great time to focus on yourself with a nice long break from holidays in January plus the ability to get back into a routine. I thought I'd make a post with some of my best tips for sticking to your new years resolutions...or any resolutions whatever they may be!

Bold Pastels

It's official, I have spring fever. Yesterday I booked a long weekend trip to New Orleans in March (can you believe I'm from Louisiana and have never been to the Big Easy?), and now I'm ready for spring and sunshine! And getting home in the evening before it's dark out. Luckily I've been able to quell some of the anticipation with spring shopping and all the lovely new collections popping up!

Mad for Plaid

Happy New Year! 2015 was a great year, and I bet 2016 will be even better! After all the festivities from the holidays January always seems much more laid back and low key. I've really been loving these oversize boyfriend button downs, and they're budget friendly enough that I can get a few to wear on repeat.
