The Fall Outfit I'll Be Living In | Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Fall outfit idea featuring Nordstrom Anniversary Sale basic white v-neck tee, ASTR waterfall jacket, wine colored jeans, paisley velvet BP booties, sole society tote
I don't know if it has to do with the fact that I've been browsing all the new fall trends for the past two weeks at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale or if it's because it's currently that gross part of the summer here in Texas where you avoid going outside at all costs, but I am so ready for the weather to start cooling off so I can cozy up in sweaters and scarves! Despite basically melting during this photoshoot, I can already tell that this look will get worn on the regular in a few months due to the fact that it's such an easy fall outfit to throw on.

P.S. Literally everything I'm wearing in this look is currently under $100!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Public Access Shopping Guide & Favorites

It's finally here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public (well in 2 hours...) and I wanted to use today's Friday Finds post to go in depth and show you guys all my favorites from the sale by category. I have definitely already done some damage this past week during Early Access but despite that I'm still finding things to add to my shopping bag each time I go to browse!

Styling a Few of My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Outfit featuring Topshop Faux Leather Skirt, BP plaid Scarf, sole society clutch, velvet booties
Happy Hump Day! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to everyone in just two days, so today I I thought I'd share a look I put together featuring staples and trendier pieces that are all included in the sale (and under $100!). When I saw this skirt I just knew I had to have it, the rusty-metallic color is just so unique and basically screams fall! Plus it's so easy to style with some basics and can easily be dressed up or down.

You can find all of my #NSale posts here, plus be sure to check back before you shop Public Access on Friday for my favorite (in stock) pieces in each category!

The Prettiest Fall Dress You Can Wear Right Now

Fall Transition Outfit idea from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale featuring green velvet rebecca minkoff bag, floral bell sleeve dress, and vince camuto booties
Anyone else do some major damage this weekend at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? I keep telling myself I've spent enough but every time I browse online my shopping bag keeps getting bigger and bigger! One thing I did get a chance to pick up, though, was this pretty floral dress that I plan on wearing now and all through fall! It's a little disappointing to buy a bunch of new fall styles then walk outside to realize its still 100+ in Texas right now and all my new goodies have to get put away for a few months, which is why I'm always on the lookout for a good transitional piece

P.S. Almost everything I'm wearing is currently a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (my dress, bag, and booties) and things are selling out SO FAST! A jacket I had my eye on literally sold out as I was adding it to my cart this weekend!

How to Style Fall Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Pieces Now

BP Plaid scarf Sole Society Tote bag Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Outfit

It's here! It's officially time to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and stock up on TONS of fall goodies!  If you're a Nordstrom Card holder it means you can shop the sale NOW which is great because there's already lots things going out of stock! If you see something you want, I would definitely recommend grabbing it now because there's no guarantee of it being restocked before the price goes up in a few weeks when the sale ends.

I wanted to talk today about how you can incorporate the pieces you get from the sale into your summer wardrobe. Here in Texas fall seems a long way off - it won't be cooling off for at least another two months. Instead of having to wait to pull your goodies out of the closet, use some of the pieces you pick up to accessorize your summer wardrobe! Throwing a scarf over a flowy tank top, like I did here, is an easy and practical way to dress for those cooler summer nights. This scarf is one of my favorite finds from the Anniversary Sale, the gorgeous blue color makes it the perfect summer transition piece and it's under $15 right now!

P.S. You can see a bunch more items I tried on in my dressing room recap

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Favorites & Sneak Peek!

nordstrom anniversary sale early access favorites

I know it's Thursday, and it's not a usual posting day for me...buttt the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access has officially started! Expect me to be blowing up your Insta feed with Anniversary sale picks for the next few weeks - but it's totally worth it since it's THE BEST time to be stocking up on the newest fall styles!

Yesterday evening I got to head over to Nordstrom North Park to preview and shop the sale a day early which means I'm currently staying up until 2am to grab links to everything I bought and tried on (the things I do for you guys...). I definitely did some damage to my bank account this evening and I can't wait to style everything for you all!

Wedding Wednesday - My Wedding Dress Shopping Experience + Tips

BHLDN Wedding dresses in fitting room
Today's Wedding Wednesday post is a very special one because I (finally) said yes to the dress! As a fashion blogger, I figured wedding dress shopping would be the easiest and most fun part about planning a wedding - but it has been the hardest for me! A couple things I knew from the start was that I didn't want a typical "princess" wedding dress and that I didn't want lace, which basically meant 90% off the dresses on the market were not my taste. I also really didn't like the idea of going to multiple boutiques to try on sample sizes that didn't fit only to order it, wait for 4 months, then hope my actual size looks the same on me because the dress was non-returnable.

I wanted to write this post to talk about my, kind of unusual, wedding dress shopping experience and share some tips for you guys to hopefully make it a little easier.

A few of my favorite Ready-To-Wear Wedding Dresses:

My Favorite Palm Print Dress | Vacation Outfit Idea

Shein Palm Print dress hot pink clutch vacation outfit
When I saw this palm print dress I just knew I had to have it, the palm print trend is one I've been wanting to get in on this summer, but up until this vacation-ready dress I haven't found the perfect leafy piece to add to my closet. Plus, at under $20, it's hard to pass up!

This weekend I spent most of it in a swimsuit by the pool, so when some friends invited me out for cocktails this palm print dress was really easy to throw on and still look put together, plus wearing it just made me feel like I'm on vacation - even though if I don't have one planned this year (thank you wedding savings). This dress is super lightweight and breezy which is honestly a must for the July heat here in Texas.

Friday Finds 7/7/2017 - My Favorite Summer Sale Pieces Under $100

Happy Friday! I can't believe the 4th of July has already come and gone. July 4th has always marked the midpoint in summer for me, it's definitely means we're heading into the triple digit months of Texas' summers. It's also when fall collections start hitting the racks (like the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starting next week!) - which means it's the perfect time to shop some summer sales as retailers start to get ready to move all their summer product out!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! I spent my day at the pool with friends and it was definitely nice to take a day off work. I wanted to check in with you guys, though, and share one last 4th of July outfit (you can check out some of my other red white and blue looks here, here, and here).

4th of July Outfit

White cold shoulder dress with pom pom clutch
Happy (almost) 4th of July y'all! Unfortunately I'm at the office today but this is what I will be changing into for a Kaboom Town watch party later tonight! It's a bit of a tradition that my office does each July 3rd since we have a rooftop balcony and have the perfect view of one of the biggest fireworks shows in the country.

I love how this July 4th look is a bit more put together than the usual cutoffs and tees (and super family friendly!). This dress is really lightweight and breezy - perfect for spending a few hours out in the Texas heat to watch some fireworks! For a more grown up approach to the 4th of July outfit, try grabbing a solid and pairing it with fun accessories, like I did with this blue clutch and these red statement earrings to add some festive 4th of July flair!

If you need some more 4th of July outfit inspiration check out these posts here and here
